'A valid Vaccination or recovery certificate issued by a third country, under reciprocal conditions' - is the requirement per the visitportugal website. The UK(a third country) govt has granted the EU Digital Certificate recognition, that is reciprocal, therefore the implication is that the NHS vaccination certificate is now valid for entry into Portugal without a need for testing. Why does this site not make this explicit, as is the case for government agencies in Belgium , France, Spain etc.? Does Portugal not want people from the UK to visit?

As of October 1, 2021 you will not need anything to visit restaurants, bars, hotels, but masks are required if 2 meters social distance cannot be met. Covid certificate for events, and large gatherings I believe.

This is directly from Portugal US embassy website as of today: To enter Portugal, both Portuguese and foreign nationals must present a negative RT-PCR test, done 72 hours before departing to Portugal, or a Rapid Antigen Test, made 24 hours before. Children under 12 years old are not require a test to enter Portugal. Citizens from European Union Member States may use the EU Digital Certificate, instead of the negative covid test, as proof that they have been vaccinated. In order to get this certificate, citizens have to contact their respective national health authorities.

What am i ranking my satisfaction of if I do it before getting any response? I think Portugal needs to accept the NHS vaccine certificate and recognise it as an EU version, you are losing all the tourists to Spain as they accept it already.

According to your rules for entering the country you need a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate. Is such a certificate where you have taken one out of two vaccination shots valid?

Same question, planning to visit Portugal in October, is the United States CDC vaccination card valid for hotels and restaurants?

I an a US citizen with plans to travel to portugal in a couple weeks. Will my CDC vaccination card work for restaurants and travel within portugal? Also are we able to apply for the EU Digital Card once we are in Portugal? thanks!
